Mattress Carrier Clamps → Instructions

Tip the mattress on its side. Have one person support the mattress whilst the second person attaches the clamp to the handle at approx. knee height.

To Attach –
Press the arms together at point 1
To Release –
Press the arms together at point 2

Using the allen key provided assemble the first of two clamps from out of the box.

Always wear gloves when handling mattreses
Keep handle tight against the mattress when attaching
Ensure clamps remain at right angles to the mattress when attaching and removing
Make sure you have good communications with colleagues
Remove and reverse the clamps if restricted for space when maneuvering
When putting the clamps down always hold the handle so that the paddle’s leading edge is on the floor
(The gap shown in the diagram illustrates how the paddle is elevated above the floor keeping it away from contamination)
